Joe Charter is the Jackson County Justice of the Peace and a practicing attorney with 23 years of legal experience. Joe's broad-ranging legal experience brings a depth of knowledge of the local community, attention to contractual details, and proven negotiation and people skills. Joe grew up in Michigan, attended law school in Berkeley, California and has practiced law in Alaska, Australia and Oregon. He has served on numerous local boards, public commissions, and community service organizations, most recently the Rotary Club of Ashland and Mediation Works.

Joe started his Real Estate practice in 2007 and looks forward to providing excellent service to investors, buyers and sellers in meeting all of their real estate needs. Joe chose to become associated with Real Estate Depot because of its excellent reputation for integrity, helpful and experienced brokers, and wonderful professional offices in Ashland's beautiful Railroad District. Joe has two teenage daughters, Mimi and Malia, who are both musically talented and athletic. Joe is a local amateur actor and has appeared in several productions at Camelot Theatre in Talent, including Judgment at Nuremberg, Inherit the Wind, and a leading role in The Beard of Avon.
