Dr. Lucinda Kolo earned her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire. There, she won honors as a Presidential Scholar, Ben Bronstein award recipient, and active member of the Pre-Medical advising center. She then attended Dartmouth Medical School, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree. At Dartmouth, she became active in Family Medicine and earned Dartmouth's Pediatric Community Service Award for her leadership of a child abuse treatment group. Dr. Kolo performed her Internship and Residency at the Union Hospital Family Practice Residency in Terre Haute, Indiana. She focused her training on women's health, low and high-risk obstetrics, pediatrics, and rural health, completing additional training in colposcopy, ultrasound, obstetrics, and C-sections. During residency, she also received two awards for clinical research.

Dr. Kolo is a former National Health Service Corps Scholar, who served the Illinois Valley from 2002 to 2005. Before her journey into medicine, Dr. Kolo worked with developmentally disabled adults as a program manager for a New Hampshire social service agency. She believes strongly in an integrated approach to health care where compassion and attention are as important as expertise.
Like most people in the Rogue Valley, Dr. Kolo loves the outdoors in many ways. You may meet her hiking the Siskiyous, biking on the greenway, or paddling the Lower Rogue. A former competitive weight lifter, Dr. Kolo never tires of learning and discovering. She loves to travel to new places, near and far, and would love to become better at her favorite hobbies: painting, quilting, and gardening.
