Willow Wind Community Learning Center is part of the Ashland Public School District and is a government-funded facility that supports homeschoolers who live in the district. Willow Wind CLC was founded to meet the educational needs of home-schooled students from kindergarten to 12th grade. Students have the option of using course material from the learning center or taking additional classes to go with the schooling they receive at home.
"The mission of the Willow Wind Community Learning Center is to support home schooling families. We provide for the diverse needs of our community through family-generated classes and activities, shared resources, and social events. We value unique learning styles and honor the gifts of the whole child. Willow Wind does not strive to provide a comprehensive educational experience. Our program is a supplement to the real work and play of home schooling, which is based in the home with the family."
