7th Annual AIFF to be held April 3 - 7, 2008
The seventh annual ashland independent film festival will be held
April 3-7, 2008. Consistently each year, 90+% of the seats at the
ashland independent film festival are filled for all five days. 2/3 of
the shows sell out to engaged, arts-oriented audiences. Last April
6,000 film-goers purchased over 15,000 tickets to 92 feature,
documentary and short films.
The festival takes place on the five screens of the intimate
art-deco Varsity Theatre and at the Historic Ashland Armory - within a
few blocks of each other in historic downtown Ashland, Oregon. See our
archives for past film selections and special guests.
Ashland Oregon is surrounded by mountains, old-growth forests, Harry & David
"Fruit of the Month" orchards and is home to the Tony Award winning
Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The town and nearby Crater Lake, majestic
redwoods and the Rogue River attract people from all over the world.
Featured in A Thousand Places to See Before You Die, Ashland is just 12
miles from the California border, 1 mile from I-5 and 20 minutes from
the Medford Airport.

Volunteers
Volunteers are the heart and soul of the
ashland independent film festival! The festival would not be possible without the tremendous support of over 230 community members. Volunteers
generously offer their time, energy, experience and expertise in every
aspect of festival operations; some volunteers help year-round and
others help primarily during the week of the festival.
There are many ways to volunteer for the ashland independent film festival. Visit http://www.ashlandfilm.org to find out more.
We hope to see you at the festival!
