Ashland's Hidden Waterfall

Ashland's hidden waterfall is reached by following the Oredson-Todd Woods Trail, which is a well established, safe and rather easy trail to follow because it has been constructed that way by the Ashland Trails and Woodland group.

Follow these directions and you will find yourself in a natural paradise that too few ever experience:

- Travel south along Siskiyou Boulevard; turn right onto Tollman Creek Road and then right onto Greenmeadows Way. (This is a residential neighborhood)

- Go left on Lupine Drive and park where you see a small parking area. This in itself is a wonderful spot to enjoy an awe-inspiring view of the surrounding hills of Ashland.

- In the parking area, there is a sign indicating the beginning of the Oredson –Todd Woods trail. Follow the well-established trail and it will lead you along as it follows the sound of flowing water, a sound that increases in volume, as you get closer to the falls. The path will eventually begin a gentle descent, as it gets deeper into the woods. Eventually your ears will tell you that the falls must be on the left as you get to the place where you see the little wooden footbridges that cross the creek. Follow the sound to the left and you will come upon a long, low, clear, cascading waterfall (this is part of Clay Creek). Stand there a while and refresh your mind and spirit. You can then turn around and go back the way you came (returning to your car) or you can choose to cross the footbridges and continue on the path toward a series of trails that are a part of Siskiyou Mountain Park.
