I'm a native Oregonian from Coos Bay; I moved to Ashland in 1968 for college and stayed on! I graduated from SOU (then SOSC) with a degree in psychology. Ashland is very much my home; my husband works at the National Fish & Wildlife Forensic Laboratory here in town as well.
My technical background is my strong suit in real estate: I was an escrow officer for a local title company for 13 years prior to entering sales. That experience with the "nuts and bolts" of how a transaction goes together has been invaluable. I learned early on in escrow, too, that buying or selling real estate can be a very stressful experience, and it became my goal to ease that process. My goal in sales is largely the same: to help my clients with their purchase or sale with full understanding of the transaction, and to accomplish that in an atmosphere of congeniality and professionalism.
Outside of my work, I'm very involved in the community through my membership in Soroptimist International of Ashland, Meals on Wheels, and the SMART Reading Program in the elementary schools. My husband and I enjoy all things outdoors: river running, hiking, and camping. I'm a ultradistance runner, and help direct a 50K trail run up on Mt. Ashland each July.
